I am a balanced dog trainer with my goals being to help owners live life more peaceful yet enjoyable with their pet dogs. Training made easy through knowledge and tools so owners can succeed.
I chose the balanced approach because I believe in giving dogs clarity through rewarding the good behaviours and applying a correction for the unwanted behaviours. I also believe that we owe it to our dogs to be their leader and give them the structure , guidance, and balance they deserve throughout life.

Teaching dogs how to respond and shut off pressure using leash guidance and prong collar, followed by e collar low level stimulation and layering all well known commands. This allows us to make clear communication with our dogs from close or far away and work them through the environment around us, also allowing us to hold our dogs accountable when not complying. This is a detailed program and protocol we follow to achieve the best results. We also teach dogs how to relax and have a calm mindset which also helps them to make better choices in life. Our training is reward based, rewarding all obedience and wanted behaviours with the dogs daily food or affection, to strongly reinforce the good. Balanced training means we also correct any unwanted behaviours with a punisher, this giving dogs clarity as to what is acceptable and what is not. People don’t like to hear about punishers, however dangerous behaviours need to be stopped immediately or people get hurt and dogs get euthanized. Punishers are quick and to the point followed with teaching the dog what we do want and reinforcing with reward, creating a well balanced dog. MY SERVICES
3 WEEK BOARD AND TRAIN
Board and Trains are the perfect program for dogs that struggle with issues in which owners are unable to handle on their own, or owners needing a full training package and are wanting a professional approach to start. Depending on the individual dogs needs, a board and train will range from 3 to 6 weeks. Your dog will stay with us in an in home environment. A board and train package includes the training and proofing of all commands while also adding distance, duration, and distraction. Sit stays, down stays, place, recall, out command, leash walking skills/manners, layering all with the e collar. Dogs will learn how to live a structured life, respect thresholds, and confidence building. Any existing unwanted behaviours will be addressed and worked through during the board and train. After the first two weeks each member of the family will come and do a mid session with myself and their dog to start the transition period. Depending on how long the dog is with us owners may come each week after the first session, otherwise the next and last session will be at pick up. Your dog will also be taken to town and parks to help proof commands and any issues we have worked on. Off leash work will also be started with your dog. Once your dog goes home providing owners follow through with the program myself at WestFall k9 Training will be available at anytime for any struggles or questions. Dogs must be 6 months and older.
$2600.00 + GST includes e collar, place cot, longline, slip lead or prong collar. Additional training add $700.00 per week.
FACETIME SESSION/PHONE CONSULT
If you need guidance on how to teach your dog or puppy structure, accountability and the basic starts of balanced training. Also if you are struggling with issues and need some help to work through them.
$60.00 + GST.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Once per week for 8 weeks we will get together and work with you teaching you how to e collar train your dog. You will learn how to layer all known commands, how to get calm mind set, place command, recall, structured walk, off leash handling skills and to correct unwanted behaviours. After each session you will go home and work on tasks for a week and come back for the next session and so forth. This program is not for dogs that major behavioural issues, we will refer you to our board and train program. Dogs must be 6 months and older.
$1600.00 + GST includes e collar, place cot, longline, slip lead or prong collar. (Not available during winter months)
BOARDING
WestFall k9 Training offers boarding to our clients only. This applies to clients that have followed through with the program. Your dog will get daily exercise, structured walks and minor training tune ups.
$50.00 + GST per night.

ABOUT MYSELF NATALIE FALL
My whole life I have always had a passion for all animals, from hamsters to budgie birds, from dogs to horses. I use to try and save any creature I felt needed saving. We always had a family dog growing up. As a young child until my early teens I was an avid soccer player and loved the sport. When I was thirteen I started getting into horse riding lessons and eventually the soccer became the past and riding four days a week was my new go to. I rode dressage then got into the show hunter/jumping. In grade twelve I did a six month work experience program at the local vet clinic. At age nineteen I met my future husband at the second largest standardbred horse farm in Canada, where I worked my summers away. Later we moved out west from Ontario to Alberta and the west became my new life. I worked half a year at another vet clinic assisting a vet while her technician was on maternity leave. We then landed a ranch job and it was there I learned all there was to learn about cattle. I branched off from where we lived and started working in a feedlot, riding horse all day, pulling and treating sick cattle. Before I knew it I was the manager of a 10,000 head feedlot and 200 momma cows that were calving each spring. After 10 years of looking after cows we took another move to where we are now and cows for me were becoming distant and I felt the need for change. After the sudden loss of our beloved Doberman Roak I did something I had wanted to do since a teen, and that was to fullfill my dream of owning a greatdane. And that’s when Zarlo came along. At this time my niece had told me all about a trainer that I could follow to properly train and e collar train Zarlo. I got Zarlo trained up and also e collar trained my female Doberman Myla , and it was then with some encouragement from my family that perhaps I should try training other peoples dogs. After my first client which was my step daughter and her dog, it was then that WestFall k9 Training was evolved. So here we are today with one year under my belt and moving along into year two. I have met so many people along this journey and I hope to carry on helping as many dogs and owners as I can.
